Project News:
Northern Powergrid announced successful certification for its Carbon Footprint at the end of 2011 and was awarded the international CEMARS standard. BMS assisted with the carbon footprint project and would like to congratulate the company on this achievement. Jon Bird (Head of Sustainability) wrote "Marek Bidwell’s assistance to Northern Powergrid in establishing properly documented data flows and reporting procedures was invaluable. We would certainly not have been able to achieve certification without it".
We assisted Bouygues UK who are constructing the New Tyne Crossing with development and delivery of their first world-wide H&S day to raise awareness of hazards, risks and controls. Over 200 staff and contractors took part in the day on the north bank of the Tyne. [July 2011]
We provided training for auditors at British Energy, part of EDF Energy. They said "EDF Energy asked BMS to provide the IEMA Internal Auditors course at short notice. We were very impressed by the speed in which they tailored the content to our company processes as well as the environmental impacts. Marek was a very engaging instructor and the course material was covered thoroughly with examples used to good effect. Following on from the course the members of the Environment team were well equipped to complete Compliance Evaluations. We would definitely recommend BMS and will use their services again." BMS is pleased to have delivered an IEMA Internal EMS Auditor Course for Landmarc who provide support services for the MoD's Defence Training Estate. Landmarc's Sustainability Advisor said "Thank you for the delivery of the course last week. I’ve received praise from all the delegates I’ve spoken to regarding the structure and deliverance of the course; all very positive." [Aug 2010]
Congratulations to Hydram Sheet Metalwork who have announced successful certification to ISO14001, developed with the support of Marek Bidwell at BMS. The assessment took place in May 2010 and as reported in their newsletter. This project was delivered in association with the Manufacturing Advisory Service. [Jun 2010]
